Water & Electricity

Every boiler or furnace has an emergency kill switch. This shuts down the gas valve and all power to your heating unit.

This is a super important function and must work is ease of service is possible.

All electrical to your boiler and potable heating unit should have a properly working switch, otherwise your initial bill of a simple pipe leak repair turns into something bigger. Have a plumber check this out and refer you to an electrical inspection.

Since modern boilers, water heaters, and water meters have digital and electrical features, stray current can and will flow through your metal pipes. If new plumbing becomes corroded quickly, improperly bonded utilities could be the cause.

Improper bonding allows that current to hit your heating utilities and the rest of you appliances, slowly causing issues over time,.

This is something to pay attention, and worth getting an inspection over.
